The 1st Annual Gafford Jingle Ball

The Daniel Gafford Holiday Jingle Ball was created to donate time and support for children and families in need during the most wonderful time of the year.
On Friday December 24th, 2021 from 10AM - 2PM Off My Block hosted it's First Annual Gafford Holiday Jingle Ball Event at John Hayden Johnson Middle School, 1400 Bruce Place SE, Washington DC, 20020. On this day, we provided services and support to low-income and disadvantaged D.C. residents and their families for the holidays. The Daniel Gafford Holiday Jingle Ball was created to donate time and support for children and families in need during the most wonderful time of the year. Our mission is to provide programs and activities for inner-city youth to help them achieve a sense of confidence, connection and control over their lives and to achieve greatness beyond society's expectations.
For our first holiday event, we partnered with Daniel Gafford, a professional basketball player for the Washington Wizards who is dedicated to giving back to the community where he lives. This year we had the honor of servicing 200 middle school aged students attending John Hayden Johnson Middle School. The school was ranked 59 out of 66 schools in Washington D.C. in 2019. We reached our goal and serviced 160 families, who pre-registered for the event.
